The New Improved Bob and Ray Book
Published in Audio Cassette by Newman Communications (March, 1990)
Average review score:

Delightfully absurd
New! Improved! Bob and Ray - as funny as ever. Here are Bob and Ray on tape again, late in their career but still the funniest duo on, and off, radio. Here they're reading (with sound effects) from their book - which is more like a collection of radio scripts; it's a good introduction to their work, and longtime listeners will find their material as fresh and funny as always. And while some hardcore fans may miss the unique "live radio" quality that Bob and Ray had, they're every bit as funny as in any of their earlier work. The running gag about walnut pickers is reason enough to buy this, as is the grammar lesson. It's also fun to read along while listening to the tape, so get the book as well. Bob and Ray are a reminder that enduring comedy needn't be offensive.

Nicky the Swamp Dog: A True Story
Published in Hardcover by Acadian House Pub (01 December, 2000)
Average review score:

I Love the Book, the Dog, and the PhotographerThis is a wonderful book full of things the children need to learn. In this day and age most children don't appreciate the enviornment and the animals that live in it. This book teaches that. This books teaches you to be kind to animals, yet respect them. I met Nicky and Half Pint (D. Ray Guillory) about a year ago and they have become some of my closet friends. They have taught me about the swamp and the animals that live in it. I am a 23 year old woman that will take this book and the experience with me for the rest of my life. I have bought this book for almost everyone I know. I have also brought many of my family and friends to the swamp to meet this famous dog and her best friend, Half Pint. They have been a wonderful new part of my life and I hope you can also be as lucky as I have been to read the book and take the adventure.
Why I love Nicky the swamp dogNicky the Swamp dog is one of the best books I have read about a dog that does wonderful things. I do not like the review by the person from new York who says it has too many words as she or he is wrong. The book is the talk at my schooland many others in Louisiana but maybe the lady from New York just does not get it.Too bad, because it is GREAT!!!!!! Also many people from other places like California and Vermont love it too because I sent them one.

Nitschke
Published in Hardcover by Taylor Pub (August, 2002)
Average review score:

A Great Book about a Great ManMy brother got to meet Ray in San Diego at the Super Bowl in 98'. His account of the meeting and of course an autograph is totally in line with Ed Gruver's account of this fine human being. In my opinion, Ray exemplifies everything that was great about the NFL and the great Packer teams in the early years of Pro Football. A great warrior on Sunday and gentle giant off the field. Kids these days could learn alot from his example of committment, hard work, dedication and sense of duty to the fans and people in general. A must have for Packer Fans and fans of Pro Football.
An inspiring account of the life of a dedicated game playerNitschke is the first biography of accomplished professional football player Ray Nitschke (1936-1998), who won the Green Bay Packers five NFL titles and the first two Super Bowls. Constructed from thorough research and dozens of interviews by biographer Edward Gruver, Nischke is the impressive portrait of a courageous man who lost both his parents at age 13, played a legendary championship "Ice Bowl" game in sub-zero weather, was inducted into the Pro Football hall of fame in 1978, and earned lasting memorials and tributes after his unfortunate death from a heart attack. Nitschke provides the reader with an inspiring account of the life of a dedicated game player and is "must" reading for Packer fans in general, and those who remember Ray Nitschke's performances on the field in particular.

No Dragons on My Quilt
Published in Paperback by Collector Books (October, 2000)
Average review score:

Should Be Passed Down From Generation to GenerationI read "No Dragons On My Quilt" to my daughter about 12 years ago after borrowing it from a library. Of course we ordered our very own copy. Back then we got it in hardback. Our whole family loves the book so much that we tried to order an extra copy for my son a few years ago. We wanted copies for each child to be passed down to their own kids when they were grown. (It is that kind of book.) We were able to get the second copy only in paperback. It is a great book about a child whose grandmother calms his fears by making him a quilt and by just being there for him. My children are 14 and 10 and will never stop wanting this book read to them. It is a classic.
Great idea for grandmother quilters - to be.Don't know what baby quilt to make for that grandchild on the way? This book combines a story and a quilt that will last. Imagine having your grandchild read all about the quilt he/she is wrapped up in. I would love to see more books like this.

Not Now Darling
Published in Paperback by Josef Weinberger Plays (1970)

Yes now, darling!Totally hilarious! This play tickled my funny bone as it has been
tickled in the past by plays such as The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged and Something's Rotten in the State of Denmark. I recently saw Not Now, Darling in production, and it
is even better performed than read. To everyone out there who loves farce, kooky mix-ups, and ladies running around in their underthings, happy reading!

Obsession
Published in Paperback by BBC Worldwide (September, 1999)
Average review score:

Great Femdom tale of a mans happy submission to his MistressThis is a very literate tale that follows a man's satisfying acceptance of his need to submit to female domination. It is an extremely evocative tale that entertains as it artfully reveals how his need to please his Dominant and her respected friends leads him deeper into a submission he finds he possesses a craving for, under her marvelous, if stern, tutelage. An excellent book of this unique genre.
Classy, literate, sexy readingA very well-written SM novel, which should appeal to all fans of erotic fiction. The story follows a man's slow discovery of his sub tendencies at the hands of a Mistress. There's lots of male dom too, with the sex being spicy, well-written and it definitely works! This is very highly recommended. Maria del Rey is one of Europe's top erotic novelists, it's about time she was discovered in the States. More of her books are available from amazon.co.uk. Seek and enjoy...

Oregon III
Published in Hardcover by Graphic Arts Center Publishing Co. (June, 2003)
Average review score:

Beautiful look at a gorgeous stateAtkeson & Ross capture the beauty of this state in their photography and words. I lived in Oregon 20 years ago and every time I look through the pictures in this book, I'm reminded of its beauty. I never get tired of looking at these photos. The book is split up into several sections: The Oregon Coast (which in itself is a rare treasure), the Columbia River, the Western Valleys (including Salem & Portland), the Cascades (including a couple shots of Crater Lake), and Central Oregon.
While the only true way to view Oregon's beauty is to visit, this book gives an excellent idea of what it's like to live there. Atkeson has some truly marvelous and at times breathtaking pictures contained in this book.
Enthralling beauty of known and hidden locationsOregon III is a gorgeous display of the Oregon coast, waterfalls, fast flowing creeks, brooks, rain and mist. The photographer has sumputuously captured the essence of Oregon: her unending supply of known and hidden bodies of water are a wondrous thing that can be found throughout this stunning state, vividly presented in this outstanding volume. The Pacific Ocean is detailed in all its grandeur of cliffs, jutting rocks, and chilling waters. The undulating coastal beaches offer thousands of rich greens, cool, damp browns, ocean blues and whitecap whites in unending discoveries that take the travelor's breath away at every bend in the road, every view to be found. When a travelor heads inland from the coast, there is the Oregon coastal range to meander through. Off the beaten path are "lost" creeks and water falls that tumble along as they have for thousands of years, all but forgotten unless the travelor stops and walks through the trees, sometimes only a few feet from the highway. Here one may find rich mosses embracing the rocks and boulders, pebbles, and fallen trees that border on a creek hurrying somewhere, laughing with the breezes. So enchanting, one might expect to see fairies or other mystical creatures presiding over a lost kingdom. The photography and text invites the reader to imagine these enticing treasures with deserved pride. The creators of this book take you to the Cascade Range. Don't be surprised to find deep crevices with water trickling from above. If you decide to to traverse such a crevice be wary of the freezing waters that occupy these fissures. The rocks and boulders will be slippery with wet algae or the thousands of years of being splashed on from the falling waters. The coolness will invigorate you as you find yourself succumbing to the pleasure these photographs provide for you. The photography and beautifully written text will take you away momentarily, but you won't find any real satisfaction until you've experienced the reality which is Oregon. When you view this book, you'll know you've had an overwhelming experience, and everytime you open its cover you'll feel Oregon calling, calling. calling..............

The Orpheus Machine (The Emancipator, No 3)
Published in Paperback by Spectra (September, 1992)
Average review score:

the world missed it...Ray Aldridge has matured the English language, melding traditional techniques to evoke emotional response in writing, with "new consciousness" in relationships between people in their roles. The real strength of sci-fi as a genre is fully exploited as comment after comment is obliquely made on many of todays issues, with a mind expansion which is only possible in the "anything goes" milieu of another planet. Did I say that his comments were brilliant?
It is the best science-fiction thrillerThis book consists of a lot of new ideas. The language of the book is perfect. I do not unterstand why I have found only a trilogy The Emancipator by Aldridge. He is great he should write more books

The Other Foot (Classics Stories of Ray Bradbury)
Published in Library Binding by Creative Education (September, 1987)
Average review score:

Great, excellent short story!I really enjoyed this story by Ray Bradbury because anyone can interpret it in many different ways. I mean they can get many different lessons from it. Every differet person gets a different lesson from it.
One of the best Short Stories I've ever readThere is a publishing company my school has been reading lately. It is the Tale Blazer publishing company. This story is just one of many by them. I love this book. It is an easy read, and it teaches you a lot.
How often do you find humor so insanely funny that you can't resist smirking and chuckling in public places as you remember your favorite lines? This is that funny. A great gift idea for anybody who likes warped humor that's both sophisticated and moronic at the same time.
